Can we talk about how I finally stopped dismissing cold email as spam?

I ran a B2B SaaS tool for 4 years and swore cold outreach was a waste of time. Then last quarter I tried a tiny tweak - sending 15 hyper-personalized emails to founders in my niche, referencing their recent blog posts. Two replied, one booked a call, and I closed a $3k deal from it. Has anyone else found a specific personalization trick that actually worked?

Started doing exactly this last year for my consulting leads. Found that mentioning something specific from their LinkedIn post (not just "loved your article") got me a reply about 40% of the time. The smaller the detail the better, like referencing a tool they recommended or a metric they shared.

Does that 40% hold up over time or fade after a few tries? I've seen similar numbers but only when I dig into something really niche from their feed. The trick seems to be picking details no one else would bother noticing.
