Cold email finally worked after 47 tries this month

I have been sending cold emails to local manufacturing businesses for 3 years with almost zero replies. Last week I changed the subject line to something super specific about their production line bottlenecks and actually got 3 responses in one day. Anyone else find that hyper-targeted subject lines make a bigger difference than the body text?

Oh man, I gotta disagree here! I actually watched this YouTube video the other day from a marketing professor who was breaking down how response patterns matter way more than just the raw number of replies. She was talking about how sometimes getting even one thoughtful reply can spark a whole conversation, and three in a day could mean something clicked. Like, maybe the person finally said the right thing that got people talking instead of just scrolling past. I feel like quality matters more than quantity anyway, you know? So I wouldn't call it a breakthrough maybe, but it could be the start of something if the responses were meaningful and not just spam. It's just a different way of looking at it.
