Demo went sideways in a coffee shop in Austin
I was showing our SaaS to a prospect at a crowded Starbucks and the wifi dropped mid-login. I ended up pulling out my phone and walking him through the mobile version instead. He signed up the next day, but man did I sweat it out. Anyone else have a pitch fall apart on the spot?

Jump right in and say @xenarobinson is onto something with the hotspot idea but most people forget those cheap ones throttle speeds after a few gigs. I tried one for a month and it got painfully slow right when I needed it most, so I just tether my laptop to my phone now instead. The screen recording trick is solid though - having a local fallback like that buys you enough time to figure out the connection without losing the room.

Yeah I've been there more times than I'd like to admit. Coffee shop wifi is a gamble every single time. My go-to move now is I download a screen recording of the demo on my phone before I even walk in the door. That way if the internet flakes out I just hit play and keep talking like nothing happened. Also I always carry a little portable hotspot in my bag now, one of those cheap ones from T-Mobile. Saved me at least three times last year. Sounds like you handled it well though, getting him on mobile and closing the deal anyway. That's the real test.
