Had a chat with an old founder in Chicago that shook me up

I was at a meetup last week and got talking to a guy who sold his SaaS company for $12 million back in 2019. He told me he regrets NOT selling sooner because he spent 3 years trying to make it perfect and the market shifted on him. Made me think about how I keep nitpicking my own product instead of just getting it out there and seeing what sticks. Has anyone else had a conversation that totally changed how you look at your business?

That "market shifted on him" part really hit me. I used to think you had to perfect everything first or people wouldn't take you seriously. But this makes me realize you can waste a lot of time chasing perfect while the real opportunity passes you by.
