Had a wild time at a trade show in Atlanta last month

I was demoing our new SaaS tool to a potential client, and their whole team just started arguing about their internal approval process right in front of me. The CEO said, 'Look, if we can't agree on this in 30 seconds, we're never buying anything again.' It was so awkward I just closed my laptop. Now I always ask about their decision team before I even start a pitch. Anyone else had a demo go totally off the rails like that?

Yikes, that's brutal. I've seen awkward silences, but a full team meltdown is next level. Good call on asking about the decision team first.

Came into a demo once and tripped over a power cord, knocked over their coffee carafe, and just pretended it was part of the show. @shanel13 is right though, asking about the team upfront saves you from becoming part of their HR drama.
