Hit 500 B2B cold emails sent in a month and only 3 people replied back
I kept hearing from the gurus that cold email outreach is dead but I figured hey, I'll try it anyway for my SaaS tool for small marketing agencies. Sent out 500 personalized emails over 4 weeks, tracked opens and clicks, used a simple follow up sequence. Out of all that work, exactly 3 people replied and only 1 turned into a real conversation. That's a 0.6% reply rate which honestly shocked me because I thought my product was solving a real pain point. The one guy who did reply said my subject line was boring so that might be the issue. Has anyone else here seen numbers this low or am I just doing something completely wrong?
