I blew $8,400 on a trade show booth in Vegas and got zero clients
Everyone kept saying you have to be at the big industry shows to land real B2B deals, so I dropped $8,400 on a booth at a supply chain expo in Las Vegas back in March. Three days of standing there while people grabbed my free pens and asked if we do retail, and I walked away with two lukewarm leads that went nowhere. Meanwhile a competitor I know swears by sending 40 handwritten notes a quarter to plant managers, which costs him maybe $200 total. Has anyone here actually closed a good client from a booth, or is this whole trade show thing just a tax write-off with extra steps?
