I finally figured out the real cost of saying 'yes' to every client request

Back when I started my B2B consulting gig 3 years ago, I took on every project that came my way. I was working out of my apartment in Austin, and last month I added up all the hours I spent on free revisions for a single client. It came to 47 hours over 6 months, and that one client basically ate up my entire month of December. Now I have a strict scope-of-work sheet I hand over before even scheduling a call. Has anyone else here had to learn this lesson the hard way?

Free revisions" are my favorite way to lose money. Stick to your scope.

Learned that one the hard way too, @maxmurphy, still stings thinking about it.
