Question about shifting our sales team's focus from quantity to quality
We moved from tracking 100 cold calls a day to focusing on 20 highly researched leads, and our close rate doubled in a quarter. Has anyone else seen a big jump after changing their sales metrics?

Totally agree with your buddy's team seeing that jump. It's wild how scary it is to cut things at first, feels like you're losing options. But then you realize you're not losing customers, you're just giving them a clear reason to pick you. Quality over quantity wins every single time.

It reminds me of a local bakery that switched from making fifty kinds of mediocre pastries to just ten really good ones. They almost went out of business for a month, but then people started lining up for the specific items they nailed. Sometimes doing less, but way better, is the whole game.
