Saw a pitch meeting in a hotel lobby that made no sense

I was at the Marriott in Austin last week waiting for a client and watched two founders try to pitch a supply chain dashboard to some investor or buyer right next to the breakfast buffet. The laptop kept losing wifi so they had to tether to a phone, the chart showed churn going up while the founder said it was down 12%, and the other founder just ate a waffle with his hands the whole time. The person they were pitching looked over at the eggs like he was more interested in breakfast than their product. They finally gave up and left leaving the laptop plugged into a wall by the cold cereal station. Has anyone else done a pitch in a public spot that went off the rails? Where's the worst place you've tried to close a B2B deal?

Skip the waffle and fix the wifi next time. That's a deal-killer right there.
