Spent 3 months trying to onboard a single enterprise client in Chicago
I run a small B2B SaaS tool for project management and this one company kept dragging their feet. Their IT security review took 8 weeks alone, plus legal wanted 6 rounds of contract changes. Has anyone else had an enterprise deal take way longer than you budgeted for?

Lived through nearly the exact same nightmare last year with a manufacturing client in Detroit. Took us 4 months from first demo to a signed contract and by the end I was convinced they'd never actually want to use the product. Their legal team wanted us to add indemnification clauses for things that had nothing to do with our software, like data from their own factory floor sensors. I mean, I get that big companies need their processes, but 6 rounds of contract changes sounds about right for enterprise. It's honestly wild how much time gets eaten up by stuff that has nothing to do with whether your tool actually works for them.

@the_elizabeth I get your frustration but honestly legal review is the ONLY part that saves you from getting sued later.

Exactly. Six rounds of legal nonsense while they ignore whether the thing actually works.
