The debate: cold emailing 500 people a day vs. sending 50 hyper-personalized ones in NYC
I used to blast 500 generic emails a day and got maybe 2 replies, then switched to manually researching each prospect for 10 minutes and sending 50 a day last year after a founder told me his 40% open rate came from personal touches, so which approach actually scales better for a B2B service business like mine?

Heard a story about a guy who doubled his meetings just by adding one personalized line to each email. Quality beats quantity every time in NYC's market.

Oh man, that one personalized line thing is gold. It's all about making them feel like a person, not just a lead in a spreadsheet. In a place like NYC where everyone's getting spammed, even just mentioning something specific about their company's blog post or recent news makes you stand out way more than a thousand cold "we help businesses grow" emails.
