TIL that buying a $200 email finder tool was a complete waste for B2B sales

I dropped $200 on one of those fancy email finder tools last month because I thought it would save me hours of prospecting. Turned out the emails it gave me were mostly wrong, like 70% bounce rate wrong. I wasted three days sending cold outreach to dead addresses before I checked. Customer support said it was a data refresh issue, but I'm not buying that. Now I'm back to manual LinkedIn searching, which is slower but at least works. Has anyone else gotten burned by these prospecting tools?
