A quick warning about the water crossing on the West Fork Foss River trail

Last September, about four miles in, I hit the main crossing and the log bridge was completely washed out. The water was moving fast and looked about knee deep, but I tried to cross anyway and got swept off my feet about halfway. I managed to grab a branch and pull myself to the other side, but my pack was soaked and I lost a trekking pole. Had to turn back and spend a cold night in a shelter. Has anyone been up there recently and seen if they've put in a proper fix yet?

Yikes, that sounds scary. I was up there a few weeks ago and it's still a mess. The water was lower but there's just a few slippery logs, no real bridge. I ended up taking my boots off to wade across, it was freezing but felt safer.

Wait, did you mean the crossing at Boulder Creek? Because the main trail bridge at Pine Pass washed out last year (it's totally gone now, not just slippery). They put in a new cable footbridge about a quarter mile downstream, it's way safer than wading.
