After a stressful quarter, my coworker and I planned a route to decompress

We picked a tough trail in the Sierras to get away from work drama. Talking while hiking eased the tension and improved our teamwork back at the office. What routes do you recommend for clearing your head after work stress?

Once took a wrong turn on what was supposed to be a quick evening hike. Spent two hours chatting with a park ranger about local rocks, totally forgot about my inbox.

@fiona_lane, forgetting your inbox for a few hours sounds like a win. Those rocks probably had better stories than any email. Getting lost led to a real talk, not just more screen time. Bet you learned more from that ranger than from a week of meetings.

Actually, the Sierras can be pretty serious terrain for a first-time decompression hike. That elevation gain is no joke if you're not used to it. A flatter forest loop might be less risky when you're already worn out from stress.
