Packed my rainfly inside my tent once and never went back
I tried stuffing my wet rainfly inside the tent body on day 3 of the Appalachian Trail near Roan Mountain last fall, and somehow nothing got damp. Anyone else skip the separate rainfly bag and just shove it all in one stuff sack?

Packed my rainfly inside my tent once" - bold move doing it with a wet one. I feel like that's the difference between being a master organizer and just being lazy. I've been doing the shove-everything-in-one-bag method for years now and my stuff is always somehow fine. Pretty sure the tent gods just give up when they see your level of commitment to not caring. At this point I'm convinced separate stuff sacks are just a scam by gear companies to sell more zippers.

Oh man, I totally feel this one. I've been doing the same thing for a couple years now and it just works. Honestly the separate bags always seemed like extra work to me. I stuff the fly right on top of the tent body and call it good. Never had any moisture issues, and I've been through some pretty wet nights too.
