My sourdough starter went flat overnight and I have no idea why

I fed it last night with 50 grams of rye flour and 50 grams of water like I always do, but this morning it was just a sad, bubbly puddle. I keep it in my kitchen which is usually around 70 degrees. What could make a starter just collapse like that?

My rye starter did that exact thing last week.

Ever notice how things just give up right before they're supposed to work? My starter does this every time the weather shifts, like it's tired of trying. It feels like a weird life lesson in a jar.

Read somewhere that starters can get moody with barometric pressure changes.
