Rant: That $120 silicone bread sling was a total dud

I bought this fancy silicone bread sling last spring after watching a video of a baker lowering dough into a Dutch oven like it was magic. Turns out my cheap parchment paper method works better because the sling folds in half every time I try to lift a wet loaf, and it tore after 4 uses. Has anyone else wasted cash on a gadget that just made things harder, or am I the only one stuck with a drawer full of regret?
