My worst baking week ever ended with a $60 grocmy mess
Last Wednesday I tried making a three layer cake for my niece's birthday and every single thing went wrong. First the butter was too cold for the frosting, then the cake stuck to the pan like glue. I ended up with a lopsided mess that fell apart when I tried to stack it. To top it off I dropped the whole thing on the kitchen floor while carrying it to the car. So I spent $60 on a store bought cake instead and felt like a total failure. Has anyone else had a week where nothing baked right no matter what you did?

Last year I switched to box mix for all my holiday baking and nobody noticed. It saved my sanity and my wallet when I would have otherwise made a mess of things. Sometimes the store bought option is just the smarter play.

Three times in one month I set off my smoke detector making banana bread. Not even good banana bread. Just charcoal with banana chunks. Ended up buying a $45 pie from the fancy grocery store and told everyone I made it from scratch. Nobody questioned the cardboard box I threw in the dumpster at 11pm.
