A teller in Des Moines showed me my overdraft fee was really a timing thing with my paycheck
I kept getting hit with a $35 overdraft fee every other Friday and figured it was just how my bank worked. The teller pulled up my history and showed me my direct deposit lands around 9am but my gym charge hits at 6am the same day, so I was overdrawn for 3 hours every payday. Now I moved my autopay to the 16th instead of the 15th and the fees just stopped. Has anyone else had a bank explain the actual timestamps behind a fee like that?
