Got a $300 refund after my card got charged twice at the gas pump
I filled up my truck at a Shell station in Tucson last Tuesday and the pump froze after I swiped. It charged my debit card $85, then did it again when I tried to restart it. I called my bank, Bank of America, right from the parking lot and the guy had me send a photo of the two receipts from the app. He put a temporary credit for the double charge in my account while they investigate, which took about 48 hours. Has anyone else had a gas pump double charge them, and did your bank fix it that fast?

Honestly, that's lucky. My bank takes like a full week just to look at a dispute, no temporary credit or anything.

Man, I'm jealous of that turnaround time. My bank moves so slow on disputes I could age a fine cheese in the time it takes them to send a form letter. Last time something like that happened to me, I basically had to live on ramen for a week while they "looked into it." You definitely got the good customer service rep.
