I started rounding up my card purchases to the nearest $5 for savings

I set this up through my bank's app six months ago, linking it to a separate high-yield account. It's added over $300 without me feeling it. Has anyone else tried a similar automatic saving trick?

Did the same thing with my credit card round-ups going straight to a savings bucket. The trick is you never see that spare change so you don't miss it. It builds up way faster than you'd guess, especially with how many small purchases you make in a week. I started it just to test it out and now it's my main way to save for random weekend trips. Makes saving feel automatic instead of something I have to force myself to do.

My buddy Mark tried that round-up thing last year with his coffee runs. He checked his savings after six months and had over $400 just from small daily buys. Now he swears by it for covering his video game subscriptions without touching his main paycheck.
