Those systems create a false sense of security. They often block legitimate purchases and cause more headaches than they prevent. The hassle just isn't worth it for most people.

Getting my own card declined for fraud protection is basically a monthly tradition at this point.

But how much fraud are we actually talking about here? Most people never deal with it, so the extra steps feel pointless.
