My bank's mobile app got a total overhaul between January and March this year

I do almost all my banking on my phone, and I swear the old app hadn't changed in like 5 years. Then back in January they rolled out a new update that completely redid the layout, added real-time transaction alerts, and even let me deposit checks with a photo. It went from a clunky 2.5 star experience to something I don't dread using every day. Has anyone else's bank done a sudden app refresh that actually worked out?

Wait was your old app also super slow to load? Mine was so bad I'd just use the website even on my phone. They updated it back in February though and now it actually works which is wild.

Wholeheartedly agree with this. Before the update I was convinced banking apps were just going to be clunky forever, and I accepted it as one of those annoying parts of life. But then my credit union did basically the same thing in March, new layout and check deposit feature, and honestly it made me realize how bad the old one really was because I actually use the app now instead of dreading it. It changed my whole mindset about what a bank app should be capable of.
