That time I got charged $45 for a burrito at a gas station in Ohio
I stopped at a Pilot in Toledo last month to grab gas and a quick bite. Tapped my card for what I thought was a $9 burrito and walked out. Later I saw a $45 pending charge on my app from that same pump. Turns out the reader glitched and put a hold for nearly $150 at first. Has anyone else had a gas station hold mess up their budget for a week?

Those holds are ridiculous. I had one at a Speedway in Indiana and it took 8 days to fall off. My bank acted like they couldn't do anything about it either.

$45 for a gas station burrito is a crime even before the fake hold shows up. My bank did the same thing to me once when I bought a soda and it locked up my whole checking account for a week. Had to ask my buddy to spot me for coffee because I was too embarrassed to explain to the cashier why my card kept getting declined. Guess that burrito ended up costing me my dignity too.
