Call me crazy but I think the UK banning laughing gas was actually smart

I was ready to fight it as another nanny-state move until I saw 47 kids in Manchester end up in A&E last year from nitrous oxide related falls and burns. How is letting teenagers buy balloons full of gas at corner shops free speech exactly?

Bro that stat about the kids in Manchester is exactly why I changed my mind too. But here's the thing, what about the adults who use it responsibly at parties? Are we just gonna ignore the people who aren't harming anyone and treat them like kids? Thats the part I keep going back and forth on. Not saying you're wrong, just curious where you draw the line.

Wait, has anyone talked about the social pressure angle here? Like maybe the real problem isn't just the drug itself but how people feel pressured to use it in the first place to fit in at parties or whatever. I feel like that's where a lot of the harm comes from, even for the "responsible" adults, because it's not always a free choice when everyone around you is doing it.
