Heard a guy in Toronto say his local paper got blocked, and I finally checked my own news apps
I was in a bar in Toronto last Friday and this dude two seats over was telling his buddy that his hometown paper's site got blocked back home, and he has to use a VPN just to read local news. That got me curious so I went through the 5 news apps on my phone and 3 of them had terms buried in settings about content rules by region. I never read that stuff before, and it made me realize I have no clue which stories get yanked where until someone says it out loud. Does anyone here keep a list of how the same outlet covers a story in different countries? I want to compare but I don't even know where to start.
