Hit 47 removed videos in one week tracking censorship
I started keeping a spreadsheet last month after I noticed a documentary about historical farming methods got wiped from a major platform. By the end of that first week I had 47 entries - videos pulled for things like showing old protest footage or discussing alternative energy. It was way more than I expected, and all of them had vague reasons like 'harmful content' with no real explanation. Has anyone else tried tracking how many things disappear in a short time frame?

Whoa, that's wild but honestly not surprising. I heard a similar thing on a podcast last week where a guy found over 200 videos gone from his saved playlist in just a couple months, all with those same vague labels. It's scary how fast stuff can vanish without anyone really noticing unless you're actively looking for it.

Do you have a backup plan for the videos you really care about? I started downloading anything important immediately after I lost a 3 hour interview about soil regeneration. I use a simple program to grab videos in MP4 format as soon as I find them, not after they get removed. Also check if the creators have their own websites or alternate platforms listed in their video descriptions. Some people mirror their content on places like Odysee or BitChute and you can find it there. The key is to treat every video like it might disappear tomorrow, because honestly it probably will.
