Just found out my favorite history podcast got blocked in Turkey

I used to listen to 'The Ottoman Files' every morning on my walk, you know, the one that talks about old empire stuff. Then last month, the app just gave me an error and I couldn't get new episodes. I did some digging and found out the Turkish government banned it for 'spreading harmful content' about their national history. It's wild because the host is a professor in Istanbul, and now even people there can't hear him. It really hit me how a ban in one place can cut off a whole conversation for everyone else. Makes you wonder what else we're missing because someone in power didn't like it. Has anyone else had a show or site they follow suddenly go dark like that?

It's not just about missing the show. The real loss is the professor's local students and colleagues who now can't access his work. That research just disappears from public discussion in its own country, which is way bigger than my morning walk being less interesting.

Exactly, my cousin's thesis basically vanished the same way.
