My favorite news site got blocked in Turkey last week

I was trying to read an article about local elections and suddenly got a white screen with a government notice. Turns out they banned the whole domain for something a columnist wrote 3 years ago. Has anyone else run into a favorite site suddenly going dark in another country?

Getting blocked by a government notice is such a buzzkill. I had that happen trying to read a sports blog in Vietnam once, just a white screen with a flag. Changing DNS to Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 totally fixed it for me too, like william said. Also try a VPN if DNS doesn't work, I use one for streaming and it bypasses most country blocks easy. Sucks that they can just nuke a whole domain over something old like that though.

Yeah I have, try changing your DNS to Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 it usually works for me.
