Found a locked case at the library in Tulsa with 9 books inside, and I can't decide if that's right or wrong
Was at the Central Library in Tulsa last Saturday and saw a glass case near the teen section with 9 titles inside, and a small sign saying ask at the desk for a key. I get that some books get moved there after complaints, but nobody could tell me who picks them or how a kid is supposed to know to ask. On one hand, keeping a book behind glass at least keeps it on the shelf instead of gone, but on the other it feels like a quiet way to make it disappear without an actual challenge process. Is this how other libraries handle it, or is my branch just doing its own thing?
