Hot take: my pastor in Tulsa handed me a banned book and said read this before you judge it
I figured he'd tell me to toss it, but he said he keeps 3 copies on his shelf for anyone who asks why it got pulled from the school down the street. He said most folks arguing about it never got past page 40, and honestly I was one of them. What's the weirdest place someone handed you a banned title you weren't expecting?

Weirdest for me was a dentist's office, of all places, sitting right there in the waiting room next to a five year old Highlights magazine. Guess the guy figured nobody would actually open it while they were busy being scared of the drill. Half the outrage online would dry up if people read the thing first instead of just reposting the worst paragraph.
