Appreciation post: I got banned from a local Facebook group for saying the new public art in Portland looks like a pile of scrap metal.
The mod said my comment was 'disrespectful to the artist's vision', but I think if public money paid for it, we should be allowed to say it's ugly, so where else can you actually talk about stuff like that without getting shut down?

My hometown put up a weird metal sculpture last year and the whole town meeting was just people arguing about what it was.
