Found a loophole in a Facebook group ban and it actually worked

Got kicked out of a local neighborhood group for posting too many pics of my cat sitting on my recycling bin. The mod said I was spamming, which is fair, I guess. But the group was the only place people posted about lost dogs and free firewood, so I needed back in. I tried making a new account, but they had that silly question gate and I failed it twice. Then I noticed the ban message said I could appeal after 30 days, so I set a phone reminder. When the day hit, I wrote a short apology that was more about helping neighbors than being right. They let me back in within 4 hours and I didn't even have to grovel. My cat is back on the bin tomorrow and nobody has complained yet. Has anyone else weaseled their way back into a group after a dumb ban?

My buddy's ex got kicked out for calling a raccoon 'cute', appealed with a photo of it. Worked.

Ha, "appealed with a photo of it" is the most unhinged defense tactic I've ever heard, and honestly I'm impressed. I'd probably get myself banned twice trying that, my raccoon photo just looks like a blurry garbage gremlin with a death wish.
