Got banned from a buy/sell group for calling out a scam listing

Last month I called out a dude selling a used welder for $900 when the same model goes for $400 at Harbor Freight. I posted the link and said his price was crazy. He reported me and the mods banned me for 30 days. No warning, no chance to explain. The group has 40k members and I actually found good deals there. Now I check the wayback machine and use a burner account to browse. Has anyone else gotten punished for warning people about overpriced junk? How do you handle groups that protect sellers over buyers?
