Hit 100 Instagram followers and got banned the next day

I finally got to 100 followers on my art account after 3 months of posting daily. Less than 24 hours later Instagram banned me for 'suspicious activity' with no explanation. Anyone else hit a random milestone and get nailed by the algorithm?

Read a post from a small business owner who hit 500 followers and got flagged the same day. Some algorithm triggers on growth patterns I guess. Instagram's bot detection is super broken for small accounts. Happens all the time to artists starting out. Appeal system is basically useless too.

Wait, are you serious? That's wild (and super frustrating). I had a buddy who ran a tiny comic page and got nuked the second he hit 250 followers too. The algorithm just sees "hey, this account suddenly got attention" and assumes it's a bot farm, which is ridiculous. @kevin_schmidt97 is right about the appeal system being garbage - my friend sent like five appeals over two weeks and got nothing back but automated responses. It's almost like they punish you for having any kind of organic growth, which is the whole point of being on there. What kind of art were you posting, if you don't mind me asking? I always wonder if certain niches get flagged more than others.
