Man, I swear local Facebook groups are like a digital minefield. I got booted from one for asking if anyone had a good plumber recommendation. Turns out the mod's brother-in-law was a plumber and I didn't mention him specifically. City council forums at least let you argue about zoning laws for an hour without getting muted.

You ever try using the town's official website next time? Most of them have a list of licensed contractors that aren't buddy-buddy with some mod. I learned that after getting kicked out of two different groups, one for asking about a good electrician. Now I just save the town's permit office number in my phone, call them direct, and ask for a few names. Way less drama.
