Rant: My own HOA banned me for asking about parking on the forum

I live in a 55+ community in Phoenix and our HOA has a private Facebook group. Last month I posted asking why the visitor parking spots were always taken by residents' second cars. The admin deleted my post and then banned me for 30 days, saying I was causing conflict. What I learned is that even a polite question can get you silenced if it makes the people in charge uncomfortable. Has anyone else gotten pushed out of a neighborhood group just for asking basic questions?

Well, a 55+ community is not really the same as a regular HOA...

You're right that 55+ HOAs have different rules than regular ones, but they still have an HOA board that tells people what color they can paint their front door and handles the same kind of petty complaints. The age restriction just changes who's doing the complaining, not how much complaining happens.
