Remember when forums had actual mods you could argue with, not just bots that shadowban you for saying 'maybe'?

I got a permanent suspension from a major platform for a single comment in 2021 that simply pointed out a factual error in a popular post, which proves they're not policing hate but disagreement, so how do you find a place to talk that still values a basic correction?

Honestly though, that platform probably had a good reason. Their rules are there to stop real harm, and sometimes a "correction" can start a pile-on. Maybe your fact check broke a bigger rule you didn't see.

Wait, so pointing out something is wrong can start a pile-on? That's the rule they're worried about? The truth is the problem now? That's completely backwards. If the original post was wrong and causing harm, my correction was helping. This just sounds like they don't want anyone to argue at all.
