That local forum mod who banned me for 'misinformation' was actually right about one thing

Ngl, I got into it with a mod on a regional hunting forum back in 2021 over baiting laws in Montana. I was dead set that using food piles was fine for public land, and he kept saying the regs changed two years earlier. I called him a power tripper and got a 30 day ban. Turns out he was right. I actually looked up the FWP site after cooling off and yeah, baiting got restricted in 2019 on certain districts. I still think he was a jerk about how he said it, but the info was solid. That experience taught me to verify my own facts before getting loud, even if the person delivering the news is annoying. Has anyone else had a mod or admin turn out to be correct about a rule you fought?

Oh man, sounds like you got the humble pie with a side of crow lol. At least you can say a broken clock is right twice a day, even if that clock was a power tripping jerk about it.

Well, speaking of clocks that are right twice a day, I'm pretty sure I'm the one that's been wrong the other 23 hours and 58 minutes most of my life. That "power tripping jerk" comment hit a little close to home, because I've been that person more times than I care to admit. I remember one time I was so sure I had the right way to host a dinner party, I lectured my poor sister for a solid twenty minutes. Then her way turned out to be a hit and mine was a disaster. So yeah, I've definitely had my fair share of humble pie, and I'm still picking the crow feathers out of my teeth.
