Vent: Took 3 months to get a straight answer about my HOA's new noise rule
I asked my HOA board six times over 90 days if the new noise rule applied to my 8pm drum practice. Each time I got a different vague reply from a different board member. Finally I got a letter saying I was in violation and banned from using the community room. Ended up calling a local news station to ask about it, then suddenly the rule got clarified in 48 hours. Why does pushing back have to turn into a full time job just to get a plain yes or no?

...and then they actually banned you from the community room without even giving you a clear warning first? That is just insane to me. Six times you asked and got nothing but runaround, like they were actively trying to confuse you. I can't believe it took a news station calling for them to suddenly find their brains and write a clear rule. You shouldn't have to become a full time investigator just to find out if you can practice drums at 8pm. That's not an HOA, that's a secret club with bad leadership.
