Got a week ban from Nextdoor for calling the HOA's new 'approved plant list' a joke

I mean, they banned hydrangeas but okayed that weird spiky thing that looks like it came from Mars. Anyone else get in trouble for a dumb garden opinion?

Man, a week for that? That's wild. My old HOA tried to ban vegetable gardens in the front yard, said they were an eyesore. Meanwhile, the guy three doors down had a plastic pink flamingo collection they were totally fine with. It never makes any sense.

Bet someone on the board had a grudge against a specific plant on that list. Like maybe they had a nasty run-in with poison ivy as a kid and now they're taking it out on all native vines. Or the HOA president's ex landscaped with something on that list and now it's personal. These lists always have someone's weird beef baked into them.
