Got banned from a hiking forum for saying switchbacks save knees, not ruin hikes

I posted in a Pacific Northwest trail group that the 4 mile scree slope near Mount St. Helens is easier with switchbacks, and 30 people piled on me before a mod axed my account, so has anyone else been kicked out for defending the boring route?
