Got banned from Nextdoor for pointing out a rat problem in my neighborhood

I live in a nicer part of town and people here think they dont have pests. Last week someone posted about a weird smell in their crawl space and I said it might be rats nesting since their neighbor has overgrown bushes and a bird feeder. I even offered to come check it out since I run a local pest business. Next day I get a ban notice for fear mongering and being negative. The mods said I was spreading alarmist info. I just laughed because six months later that same house had a full rat infestation and they hired someone else for twice my rate. Has anyone else gotten kicked off a local group for just stating facts about something people dont want to hear?

Oh man that is so typical. I got kicked out of my local Buy Nothing group once for posting about a loose dog that kept running into traffic. I said hey just a heads up theres a lab mix running around on Maple Street near the school zone and someone needs to grab him before he gets hit. The admin messaged me saying I was creating a panic and making people scared to let their kids walk to school. Like what? I was trying to prevent a dead dog situation. They banned me for 30 days. Meanwhile two weeks later someone else posted the exact same thing about that same dog and they got a ton of thank yous and people helping catch it. It really feels like some people just want to live in a perfect little bubble and anyone who points out reality is the bad guy. Idk maybe its just my area but the local Facebook groups are basically run by people who think negativity is worse than actual problems.

Wait, you got banned for 30 days just for warning people about a dog running into traffic? That is ABSOLUTELY insane. I've seen that same kind of nonsense in our local group where someone posted about a downed power line and got told it was "fear-mongering" until the city finally showed up three days later. It honestly sounds like some admins care more about keeping the page looking "perfect" than keeping people safe. That whole thing with the other person getting thanks while you got banned just proves it's personal bias or some weird power trip. You did the right thing and that's all that matters.
