Got purged from a gardening app for calling out fern gatekeeping

I posted a simple tip about watering Boston ferns in July, then some moderator nuked my account because I said the word 'drench' was dangerous advice, even though I've run a greenhouse side gig for 11 years. Anyone else get booted for stating a basic fact that hurt a mod's feelings?

Eleven years running a greenhouse and you got schooled by someone who probably waters their plants with a spray bottle like they're misting a Yorkie. I got banned from a fishkeeping forum for saying a 10-gallon tank is too small for a goldfish, and the mod's response was basically "my grandma kept one in a bowl for 20 years, so shut up." The word 'drench' is dangerous, but telling people to use a thimble of water so their fern doesn't drown is apparently fine, whatever keeps the gatekeepers happy.
