My ban from a hobby app for questioning a rule

I asked why a craft group had a strict no-debate policy in the comments. Suddenly, I was booted for 'causing trouble' with no chance to explain. Are there any sites that actually let you discuss moderation decisions?

Believed mods were always fair until a similar shutdown happened to me. Now I SEE why some platforms fear any chat about their choices.

Wait hold on though. Sometimes a shutdown is just cleaning up a real mess. I got banned once for spamming dumb memes in a serious thread and honestly I deserved it. Mods have to stop fights before they blow up, even if it feels unfair in the moment. The platform isn't scared of chat, it's scared of the place turning into a trash fire.

Yeah but @elizabeth438, what about when the cleanup itself makes the mess? I mean, locking a whole thread because two people are fighting just buries all the good points everyone else made. It's like they'd rather have a dead forum than a slightly messy one. Idk maybe it's just me but that feels lazy.
