Tried posting a simple comment about election integrity on Nextdoor and got hit with a 30 day ban within 4 hours

I just said 'maybe we should wait for the official count before jumping to conclusions' on a thread about mail-in ballots in Phoenix last Tuesday and the moderator flagged it as 'misinformation' with zero explanation, has anyone else noticed how quick some neighborhood apps are to silence stuff that isn't even controversial?

lol I posted 'I like how this candidate's hair looks' on Nextdoor once and got a 7 day ban for 'inflammatory political commentary.' Guess my hair opinions are too spicy for the neighborhood.

Hold on a second, John. Nextdoor's rules are about keeping things neighborly, not banning hair compliments. I think they might have flagged it because you mentioned the candidate's name in the same sentence. If you had just said "I like that guy's hair" without naming anyone, they probably wouldn't have cared. Nextdoor is super strict about names and direct political references, even in jokes.
