A meme from my town got wiped off the main apps in a single afternoon

It was just a silly picture of our local mayor with a funny caption about potholes, but it got flagged for 'misinformation' by the big platforms on Tuesday. I mean, it's not like it was hate speech, it was just local humor, so it makes me wonder where they draw the line. Has anyone else seen a totally harmless local joke get banned like that?

Our neighborhood Facebook group had a meme about the new roundabout that got taken down last month. It was a picture of a confused squirrel with the town planner's face on it. I reported it as a mistake through the platform's official appeal form, and it was back up in two days. You have to be really clear it's parody and not a real statement. Those automated systems have no sense of humor for local stuff. Sometimes a real person just needs to look at it.

What exactly did you write in that appeal to get a real person to review it? I've had stuff taken down before and the appeal forms feel like shouting into a void.
