Got a 30-day ban for a meme about a political cartoon from 2022

I posted a modified version of that famous 'This is fine' dog meme, but the room was on fire with logos from different social platforms. Someone commented 'this is why context matters, you're just spreading hate' and I got banned for 'inciting violence'. I changed my approach by adding a text overlay that directly quotes the original cartoonist's interview about satire. Now my posts don't get flagged, but it feels like I have to do homework to make a joke. Has anyone else had to add academic citations to their memes just to avoid a ban?

Tell me about it... I got a week-long timeout for posting a screenshot of a news headline with zero commentary. The auto-mod said it was "misinformation" because the headline itself was from a source they don't like. Now I basically write a tiny footnote under anything even slightly touchy, explaining where it's from. It's exhausting, like writing a term paper for a dumb joke. The platforms want everything to be bland and safe, so they punish anything that needs a second of thought.

Writing a term paper for a dumb joke" is exactly it. I got flagged for sharing a clip from a weather report, because the channel was on some list. Now I feel like a lawyer citing sources just to post a meme.
