Got a 30 day ban on Instagram for a meme about a local zoning board

I mean, it was just a picture of the town hall with a clown face pasted on it, caption said 'meeting in progress'. Wasted about 4 hours making a whole series before the account got hit. Makes you think, if a joke about a boring committee gets you in trouble, what's even left? Anyone else get banned for something that seemed totally harmless?

What did they even flag it for? I got a week ban last year for posting a picture of my neighbor's gnome with the caption "local HOA spy"... it's like they have no sense of humor at all.

Always wondered what triggers these bans because it feels totally random. @rodriguez.jordan you mentioned yours got taken down too - was it something that seemed harmless or did you already know it was pushing it? Gnome with "HOA spy" is pretty tame honestly, they must have really strict rules on what counts as harassment or something. Did the ban reason they gave you actually match what you posted or was it some generic "policy violation" line?
